It's that time again - Contest time!

We have lots of prizes this time so make sure to spread the word. Here are the rules:

There will also be one, maybe two suprise prizes during the contest so stay tuned!

Oh my gosh, amazing work! I've always been fascinated by glasswork and tried my hand at lampwork beads a few years ago and failed miserably. I'll stick to admiring the work of others.:)

The Karmic Kitchen blog referred me and I'm so glad they did! Great contest, great site!

Came here by way of the Java Junkie- I guess that means The Big Shamu too.

Universal forces probably had a hand in getting me to visit this place. I can totally understand the pressures and dreams of an artist trapped in the framework of mainstream society.

I don't give a good goddamn who wins the contest. I'll be back to see what else you create. Those pumpkins are way cool!

I love the dark one! Its lush!

Eternally Curious sent me first then Jewels sent me after!

I never win anything and I already have one hell of a collection of your glass! For those of you that didn't get to come to the party and see these in real life, they are AWESOME.

My summer job during high school was installing neon signs. But what I enjoyed was watching my boss twirl and bend and blow the tubes into letters until they fit his template...perfectly.

It was mysterious and beautiful..like modern alchemy. What a cool art.

The one and only flameworking project I've ever done was a pumpkin - well it was supposed to be, but it looks more like a blob of orange glass. Yours are soooo beautiful.

What!?! We don't have to do anything to enter but post a comment? We don't have to go cross-eyed trying to figure out how many glass nuggets are in a bowl? Very nice for lazy boys like me.

I've been watching this blog (and IFTG) for a few years now. Your stuff is !_AWESOME_!, especially the pumpkins, and the shells, and the purple/white ribbon bowl (been trying to figure out how you did that one), and, well, all of it. Keep up the good work.

Coolhand,

Your not in Atlanta are you? Someone that visits has become a recent glass blowing attict like myself and we have a mutual friend.

I need to get in touch with them so they know they can swing by when they are in town.

Gnat of Glass said...

The ribbon bowl...You know I have had quite a few people ask about that.

I will give you a hint. There is a clear casing of glass involved before the optic. Good luck...that should be enough to figure it out.
